 3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION:

Hazard descriptionNot applicable.
Information concerning particular hazard for human and environmentNo applicable.

 4. FIRST-AID MEASURES:

After inhalation
Conscious person should be assisted to an uncontaminated area and inhale fresh air. Quick removal the contaminated area is most important. Unconscious person should be moved to an uncontaminated area, given assisted resuscitation and supplemented oxygen. Medical assistance should be sought immediately.
After skin contact
Frosbite: Flush affected areas with luke warm water. Do not use hot water. A physician should see the patient immediately, if the cryogenic ``burn'' has resulted in blistering of the dermal surface or deep tissue freezing.
After eye contact
In the event of liquid or cold gas exposure, flush contaminated eye(s) with copious quantities of water. Part eyelids to assure complete flushing.
Prompt Medical Attention is mandatory in all cases of over exposure to carbon dioxide liquefied. Rescue personnel should be equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus.

 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES:

Suitable extinguishing agentsCarbon Dioxide is a non-flammable product.

 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:

Person-related safety precautions
Use respiratory protective device. Avoid contact with liquid or solid shut off leaks, if without risk. Allow to evaporate slowly.
Measures for cleaning/collecting
Allow the material to evaporate under control.

 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE:

Handling
Information for safe handlingAvoid contact. Use personal protective equipment & self-contained breathing apparatus.
Storage
Carbon Di-oxide, liquefied, is stored in insulated vessels, having mechanical refrigeration coils within the vapour space in order to maintain the pressure in the vessel or the temperature of the liquid in the vessel.

 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PROTECTION:

Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the work place: Not applicable.
